Is there any science behind ISORelief? |

ISORelief was studied at the William Harvey Institute, St. Bartholomew's Medical College at the Royal London School of Medicine. The William Harvey Whole Blood Assay is now considered the gold standard for measuring Prostaglandin E-2 (PGE-2) activity. Results from screening the majority of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID’s) aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen and COX-2 prescription drugs like Vioxx and Celebrex have been published using this protocol by Warner et al in Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. Vol. 96, pp7563-7568, 1999. Two human oral dosing clinical studies were performed on ISORelief.
These studies were designed to assess the Prostaglandin E-2 (PGE-2) inhibition of ISORelief in vivo (in human blood). The two most important things that need to be determined when screening for new PGE-2 anti-inflammatory compounds are the potency and selectivity.
ISORelief had a PGE-2 inhibitory potency comparable to that obtained from a single 2-tablet dose of Ibuprofen, while possessing superior selectivity.*
Comparison of data from a validation study suggests that ISORelief would provide PGE-2 inhibitory potency comparable or better than a single dose of Celebrex, with superior selectivity. The present study suggests that ISORelief is clearly a selective and potent PGE-2 inhibitor, comparable to Ibuprofen and Celebrex in efficacy, but with superior selectivity for Prostaglandin E-2. The better the selectivity for PGE-2, the less gastric side-effects.
